Deschutes County Circuit Court is on its way to join the handful of Circuit Courts that have already launched the new mandatory e-filing system designed by Tyler Technologies, called Odyssey File & Serve, which allows attorneys to file and serve documents electronically, reducing costs not just for the firm but also for the courts.  Some of the benefits include reducing costs from handling and storing paper files, cutting costs for carrier and process server services, less staff time to travel to and from courthouses, and providing 24hr access to court information including PDFs of documents that have been filed on Oregon eCourt Case Information (OECI).  Hopefully this exciting transition goes smoothly and provides a new system that is both efficient and user friendly.
